Lorpen Expedition Polartec / PLoft 1 Socks
The Lorpen Expedition Polartec / PLoft 1 socks are a very heavy-weight socks, hence the “expedition.” If you are looking for a pair of socks to keep you warm, as well as offer slipper like comfort, these are the socks for you.
I cannot wear these socks in temperatures much over 40* F, and even then they can still be too warm. However, I have worn them in temperatures around 10* F while hiking, and sleeping in them in 20* F and they have kept my feet toasty warm. And the cushion is so thick on the bottom they are super comfy. The only drawback to this is that they can’t be worn with some shoes. Definitely make sure you have enough volume inside your boots before purchasing these socks.
