Last September my wife and I was able to make our first trip to the AT. Also, this was our first big hike. We had planned to go from Amicalola to the GA / NC border, but due to a sickness on Blood Mountain, we cut the trip short at Neels Gap. This is a few videos that we took while on our trip. Keep in mind that they are very rough as far as footage is concerned, not to mention that we were complete newbs! We were green. But hey, everyone starts somewhere, and I cannot think of any other place I would have rather started than at the beginning of the approach trail to the great and mighty Appalachian Trail! So, without further a due…
Our first night there we camped at the AFSP campgrounds then got up the next morning and began the approach trail behind the visitors center.
