A Luke-in-the-box! #puppyinabox #goldenretrieverpuppy #goldenretriever #dogslife#nationalpetday #nationalpetday2018 #lukeandlucy #lucyandluke #family #dogslifeLuke is loving the sunshine today after the last few rainy, cold days! #dogslife #lukethegolden #goldenretrieverpuppy #soakinguptheraysI have been trying to figure out the best way to protect my backpack from the sharp edges on the upper lip of the Bearikade Weekender. Of course I could just stuff other gear around it, but I don’t want to risk damaging other gear. I also thought about using a larger towel to lay over the top and tuck around the sides, but if I used the towel or if it was wet I would rather have it outside the pack to dry. Then I thought about tying a knot in one end of a buff and sliding it over the top... but what if I wanted to wear my buff?! So I am thinking about these... I just made a lid from reflectix that slides right over the top... As is, it weighs 1 oz exactly. I thought about cutting a hole in the top to drop some more weight, but then I got to thinking... if I leave it as is, it is a little extra cushion for when I use the Bearikade as a sitting stool! So, what do you think? What have you done to cover the sharp edges on the Bearikade’s? #backpacking #hiking #johnmuirtrail #jmt2018 #bearikade #weekender #bearcan #carbonfiber #diy #myog #sittingstool #reflectix #dilemma #figureitoutPost bath! After 7 years of use, a bath brought my Black Rock Gear beanie back to life! Fluffy, puffy and smells good again! Lol. #blackrockgearbeanie #likenew #jmt2018After noticing the MassDrop drop on the Black Rock Gear down hats, I remembered I needed to bathe mine! This was its first bath since I bought it in May 2011! It was dirty!! (Notice the brown colored water under the soap bubbles...) I used the Nikwax down wash, which I use to wash any of my down with. Right now it’s on low tumble in the dryer, although I got much of the water out just by squeezing it and patting it with a towel. Anyway, be sure to check out the live drop if you’re interested in them... they are awesome beanies and I look forward to getting this one dirty again on the JMT this summer!! #blackrockgear #downbeanie #downhat #jmt2018 #downwash #nikwax- Follow Stick's Blog on WordPress.com
