Another Backyard Camping Experiment…

The temperatures are finally at a point that I can test out my “winter gear” to the points that they are rated! Of course, this is in my backyard (actually front yard) so the results may be slightly more optimistic than if I were in the backcountry and had been hiking all day long, but at least I am able to test them and get a more realistic idea of how they will work for me. And now when I head to the Smokies next month, well I may just be able to be more successful and enjoy my trip that much more. Thanks for watching, and as usual, leave a comment…

About Stick

My blog is essentially a record of my hiking career. Through it, I, and others, can see how I have evolved from a heavy weight backpacker, to a smarter, more efficient, lightweight backpacker. Through the use of video, still photos, and of course writing, one can see my progression, as well as check out some of the places I hike, and not to mention some cool, lightweight gear options. For me, my blog is a journal, but for others, I hope that it is an interactive learning tool to aid them in their own progression towards lightweight backpacking.
