ISO-Clean 2.1 Stove Winner!

Wow! There has been a total of 126 people to leave comments on the recent ISO-Clean 2.1 Stove giveaway! A huge thanks to everyone that entered, I really appreciate the support! And I really wish that I could give everyone that entered a stove, but unfortunately, I cannot… I only have 1 of the ISO-Clean 2.1 stoves to give away…

So, here is how I went about drawing the name of the winner (as can be seen in the video above):

As people entered comments, I listed their name in a Google Doc Spreadsheet in the order submitted. Today, once I got home from work, I used the random generator to draw a number between 2 and 127. The number generated was # 97, which translates on my Google Doc list to “Stephen”.

Here is Stephen’s comment (posted on November 9th, at 12:00 pm):

Let’s face it–most backpackers, like me, are skinflints. This puppy is FREE. Sign me up. Stephen

So, congrats to Stephen on winning the ISO-Clean 2.1 stove! As I said, you have up to 72 hours to claim the stove. You can do so by sending me a message here. Please send me your shipping address so I can get the stove in the mail to you. (And don’t worry, I will not make the message live, so your address will not be public.) If not claimed in the 72 hour time frame, I will use the same process to pick a new winner.

BUT WAIT!

For everyone else Jon has decided to offer a 10% discount off of 1 ISO-Clean stove (per person) from now until December 25th! To get the discount, simply head over to the Flat Cat Gear site, add an ISO-Clean stove to your cart and check out. When checking out (at the PayPal site) enter this in the comment box to get your 10% discount:

“Stick says I can have 10% off an ISO-Clean stove!”

Thanks again to everyone that entered, as well as to Jon for supplying the stove for the giveaway! And again, congrats to “Stephen” for winning this stove…it should make a fun little early Christmas present!

~Stick~

Disclaimer: Jon from Flat Cat Gear provided me with the stoves for this giveaway.

About Stick

My blog is essentially a record of my hiking career. Through it, I, and others, can see how I have evolved from a heavy weight backpacker, to a smarter, more efficient, lightweight backpacker. Through the use of video, still photos, and of course writing, one can see my progression, as well as check out some of the places I hike, and not to mention some cool, lightweight gear options. For me, my blog is a journal, but for others, I hope that it is an interactive learning tool to aid them in their own progression towards lightweight backpacking.

Hey Chad. May I ask what app you used in your MAC for the screen capture video?? I’ve been looking for one for a while now and yours seemed to do the job nicely.

Odds were surely in our favor but we can’t all win. Was fun trying though. Thanks for the chance!
