Hey Stick,
I’ve been reading your blog and watching your videos for over a year now and have made several purchases based on your reviews. Thanks for the information! I have a question about the red wind jacket you’re wearing in the picture from your March 2013 hike on the AT. Is that a North Face Vertro or another jacket? I’ve watched your Vertro video and in that video you were showing a yellow jacket.

That is the Patagonia Houdini in that picture. After reading so much good stuff about them on BPL I decided to pick one up when they were on sale for $37 at REI… And I have got to admit, I do like it. It is heavier than my Verto (4.3 oz vs 2.9 oz), but it has a softer hand, the hood is far better on the Houdini and it is more breathable than the Verto (which also means it blocks less wind though).
