As I mentioned not too long ago, Keith from Two Gear Guys was very kind and put together a logo for me to use for my blog. I was so excited about it, I knew that I wanted to incorporate it into my blog somehow, but not sure how, or where. For starters though, I began using it at the end of all of my YouTube videos, but I wanted to do more with it… then it hit me! Shirts & stickers!
I had never designed my own shirts, or stickers, before, but I had ordered some items from Cafe Press, and knew that I could personalize items through them. So, I headed to their site and started playing around.
At first, I used a lower resolution pic of the logo, and placed an order for some vinyl stickers. Later, I went back and uploaded a higher resolution pic and ordered a few more stickers with a white background. Next, I picked out the least expensive shirt that they offered and got to work. I knew I wanted to place my logo on the front left breast area, however, I wanted something on the back too. After some thought, I decided to place logo’s from a few of the gear companies that I personally support, use and recommend.
- Gossamer Gear
- Black Rock Gear
- Lawson Outdoor Equipment
- Enlightened Equipment
- GooseFeet Gear
The shirt, and the first order of stickers, showed up today, so I thought I would do an opening-up video to share with everyone else…
After looking them over, I am happy enough with the shirt and the stickers, although, the colors on the shirt are not as bright as I would have liked them to be. But, overall, I like the way that the shirt turned out. I am curious though, to see what it will look like after a few washes…
I plan to order some more stickers sometime soon (hopefully) and would like to offer some to some of my readers. However, they are not cheap, and I may look at some other companies first. As for the shirt, I would also like to order at least one more (sometime), and give it away on my blog, however, that too will have to be a bit. As well, I am not sure if I will put the logo’s of the different gear companies on the back (like on mine), since those logo’s are not mine. At this point, I don’t know about the copyright laws concerning this…
Anyway, I just wanted to show off my cool new logo’ed out stuff. Again, I want to say a huge thanks to Keith for doing the logo, and for everyone else for stopping by! Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you think about them so far…
Disclaimer: I am a Gossamer Gear Trail Ambassador, however, other than this, I have no affiliations with any of the other companies that I have listed above. I simply buy their gear, use it and love it. I am not being compensated for mentioning any of the companies above.
